About

Help everyone grow their own food at home.

Home Farm Hydroponics started with a simple frustration: the "fresh" produce at the store often isn't. Spinach can shed most of its nutrition within a day of being cut, and by the time it reaches your plate it has travelled hundreds of miles.

The fix is to grow food where you eat it. Hydroponics makes that practical for anyone — no soil, no garden, no green thumb required. We build the systems and write the guides that help people do exactly that.

Farmer Raz

Home Farm Hydroponics is run by Farmer Raz out of Salt Lake City, UT. Part grower, part tinkerer, Raz has spent years dialing in compact hydroponic systems and documenting the science of what grows best and why — the research behind every guide in The Dirt.

The mission

Help everyone grow their own food at home — eat healthier, eat fresher, and waste less doing it.
